Frank De Vol Made Music That We All Know

On this day in 1969, The Brady Bunch premiered. Millions of American's soon knew by heart the work of Moundsville's Frank De Vol. De Vol wrote the theme song to the Brady Bunch, My Three Sons, Family Affair and Gidget. The Marshall County native also composed music for major Hollywood films like The Dirty Dozen and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner – for which he received one of his four Academy Award nominations. Here's a look at Frank De Vol's life from his induction into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.
