The words of Larry’s slogan might translate a little differently when you hear them this weekend on NPR stations across the country. He says it after the credits at the end of every episode.

Two Mountain Stage events scheduled for May have been canceled to comply with CDC guidelines regarding public gatherings. Refund details are below. We will work to reschedule each of the artists as soon as possible.

Advance tickets for our May 17 Mountain Stage at the Clay Center sold out in just under one-hour. Thank you for the support. This show will hit airwaves later this year via NPR Music.

The SteelDrivers are unable to appear at tonight’s Mountain Stage event in Charleston, W.Va. as scheduled. We will work to reschedule them as soon as possible. The band sent us this message:

UPDATE: All three of these shows are on sale now online and at Taylor Books in downtown Charleston.

Ticket buyers will notice sales tax has been added to the cost of these tickets. Due to a change in West Virginia tax law, Eventbrite will now collect sales tax on all Mountain Stage tickets for Culture Center shows, starting with our June 2020 events.

Two November live events have been added to the schedule for Mountain Stage and both shows are on sale at a special rate to Mountain Stage Members today.

Kathy Mattea, Grammy winning recording artist and West Virginia native, returns to Charleston, W.Va. this Sunday to guest host Mountain Stage once again, this time with a one-of-a-kind line-up of female talent. Showtime is 7p.m. at the Culture Center Theater on the state capitol grounds, and tickets are available online or at Taylor Books in downtown Charleston. Be sure to RSVP on Facebook if you’re joining us, and read on for more on each of our guests.

This Sunday, March 24 Mountain Stage welcomes special guest host Kathy Mattea back to the host position as she guides us through a showcase of bluegrass and roots music at its finest.

Mountain Stage with Larry Groce is pleased to welcome Americana group The Lone Bellow and their acoustic TRIIIO tour to Mountain Stage later this fall.

Mountain Stage with Larry Groce is about to get back into their schedule of live performances in Charleston, WV, starting this Sunday May 13 at the Culture Center Theater.

On Sunday June 24 Mountain Stage will once again be a part of FestivALL Charleston, the city-wide celebration of the arts in our hometown of Charleston, WV. Iconic songwriters Dave Alvin & Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Vermont’s emerging soul-music star Kat Wright, have already been announced. Today we’re adding the next round of artists, and our next guest-host.

Due to travel conditions Lee Ann Womack will be unable to appear at Mountain Stage as scheduled on Sunday, March 25. We are rescheduling for Sunday, June 3 at the Culture Center Theater.

Ticket holders may choose to attend the show tonight, featuring James McMurtry, Inara George, John Moreland and The Low Anthem, or redeem/transfer their March 25 tickets to the June 3 show.

Tickets are on sale now for Sunday April 8 when Mountain Stage with Larry Groce makes its first trip to Radford University, in Radford, VA.

After making 19 appearances as a guest-artist on Mountain Stage with Larry Groce, West Virgina's own country music royalty Kathy Mattea steps up to host the show this Sunday in Charleston, WV. Mattea will welcome performances from Seamus Egan Project, Cheryl Wheeler, Sam Baker, The Mulligan Brothers and Kenny White.
