Mountain Stage News: Hey Mavis to appear this Sunday, Fairfield Four postoned

Due to poor travel conditions, The Fairfield Four will be unable to make this Sunday's scheduled appearance on "Mountain Stage with Larry Groce" at the Culture Center Theater in Charleston.

Mountain Stage producers are pleased to welcome Ohio based Americana trio Hey Mavis to the show. The band will release their new album "What I Did" in March 2015 and will follow it with an extended run of tour dates. "What I Did" was produced by Yonder Mountain String Band guitarist Adam Aijala and recorded by Don Dixon. The band's website describes their sound as "a pinch of jazz, bluegrass, old-timey, and folk, and a heaping spoonful of rock."

Advance tickets for the show are $15, available online and at Taylor Books in downtown Charleston. Tickets will be available starting at 5pm Sunday, February 22 at the Culture Center Theater, $25 each.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the show stats at 7pm. Also scheduled to appear is renowned singer/songwriter Eric Bibb, long-standing Irish sensations Altan, powerful songwriter and vocalist Dayna Kurtz, and West Virginia's own beloved songwriter Todd Burge.
