WV Fire Marshal

Police are investigating two deliberately set fires that prompted the evacuation of a Walmart in Martinsburg.

Martinsburg police tell media outlets that the store was closed Sunday afternoon after someone set a rack of men’s T-shirts and a pile of towels on fire.

Police say no one was injured. People in the store put out the fires with a fire extinguisher.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s office is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
