The Legislature Today: Lawmakers Override Vetoes

In the second year of Republican control of the statehouse, lawmakers have voted both a second and third times to override Tomblin vetoes.

A simple majority in both chambers voted Friday to make the prevailing wage repeal and Right-to-Work bills law.

A Common Core repeal and funding for the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind take the spotlight in the House and the state’s Agriculture Commissioner Walt Helmick discussing deer farming and aggregation centers to expand access to local foods.
