The Legislature Today: Sunshine Amendments Could Block Campaign Finance Reform

Senators approve a bill to drug test welfare recipients, but are still struggling with one that would increase campaign contribution limits. The Senate's Judiciary Chairman discusses changes to the bill he says may prevent its passage.

Also, state Auditor Glen Gainer discusses the latest on a state computer operating system lawmakers threatened to delay.

In the House, members are attempting for the third year in a row to figure out what to do with a Jackson County conference center. A compromised bill that would move the Cedar Lakes Campground and Conference Center to the Department of Agriculture is moving through the chamber.
