She is an author who has been featured on several national news programs talking about true crime and other topics related to her reporting.
She has taught journalism, branding and communications strategy at five universities. She has also served as an editorial consultant to individuals, authors, business start-ups, and corporations. In 2014, she co-founded the handbag and accessories brand Be Brilliant. The company's designs and creations have been featured in major fashion and lifestyle publications and at creative events like the Emmy and Academy Awards. She is a native of Hurricane, West Virginia.

He was one of five candidates interviewed for the job. Current president Jerome Gilbert announced he would step down in April. Lawmakers are meeting in Charleston, West Virginia this week to work on redistricting. Gov. Jim Justice called a special session on Friday to take up congressional redistricting as well as a new map of 100 single-member districts across the state. State legislators are also expected to discuss appropriation of federal money and changes to the state's Intermediate Courts that were passed earlier this year during a regular session.
