  • The state fair in West Virginia has been a staple of entertainment since its designation in 1941. This year, people are flocking from all corners of the state to the fairgrounds in Fairlea -- for food, rides and music. Their enthusiasm for the summer tradition comes after many stayed away from outdoor festivals over the past year because of the pandemic. And, after the state fair itself was closed for just the second time in its history.
