DHHR Confirms 2nd Coronavirus Death In West Virginia
State officials are reporting a second coronavirus-related death in West Virginia.
The Department of Health and Human Resources released a press release Wednesday evening from the Jackson County Health Department confirming the state’s second fatality.
Jackson County officials didn’t offer any personal details, but said the patient had several underlying health issues and died in the hospital. Officials offered sympathies to the patient’s family and urged residents to stay home to slow the spread of the virus.
As of Wednesday evening, state officials reported 191 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
