Chris Knight returns to Mountain Stage Sunday August 4.

On Sunday August 4 we welcome back revered songwriter Chris Knight and progressive Texas swing trio The Quebe Sisters to round out the line-up for our taping at the Culture Center Theater. Already announced are Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn, blues-guitarist and singer Sue Foley, and Nashville-based Maya de Vitry, who released her solo debut earlier this year after several albums with The Stray Birds.

Tickets are $30 and available online and at Taylor Books in downtown, Charleston. Find more details on August 4 here.

Knight has just announced the release of his first album in over seven years, Almost Daylight, due October 11. Produced by Ray Kennedy, the album features guest appearances by Lee Ann Womack and John Prine, as well as guitars by Dan Baird.

The Quebe Sisters appear on Mountain Stage live in Charleston, WV Sunday August 4. Tickets are on sale now.

Also appearing on August 4 will be The Quebe Sisters, who joined us last in 2012 in Morgantown, WV. You can hear that set via NPR Music below and get tickets to see the sisters in person on August 4.

Our October 6 and October 27 live shows are on sale now online and at Taylor Books in downtown Charleston. At the request of the artist, we have rescheduled Cris Jacobs to our October 6 show with Shovels & Rope and Kelsey Waldon.

Meanwhile on October 27 we’ll be joined by Robert Randolph & the Family Band and the roots-music all-stars Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams. These shows went on sale first to Mountain Stage Members, who make a recurring gift of at least $10/month or a one-time gift of $120. Our members get seven days of pre-sale online access to our Culture Center Shows before they are on sale to the public. Find out how to become a Mountain Stage Member here.
