Live Show News: Tank and the Bangas On Mountain Stage May 19

The ultra-funk band Tank and the Bangas from New Orleans will appear on Mountain Stage May 19 in Charleston, W.Va.

New Orleans based genre-blending band Tank and the Bangas will appear on Mountain Stage at the Culture Center Theater on Sunday, May 19. This innovative quintet won NPR’s 2017 Tiny Desk Contest and have since traveled the world, quickly becoming a favorite at festivals like The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and the nearby Nelsonville Music Fest to name only a couple.

Their upcoming record Green Balloon, is available for pre-order now on Verve Forecast.

Made in New Orleans, Los Angeles, London and Florida, the band’s newfound critical acclaim and global notoriety meant they were able to call upon producers such as Jack Splash, Mark Batson, Zaytoven, Louie Lastic and Robert Glasper.

Tickets for May 19 are $20 in Advance, $30 on show day. Mountain Stage Members can get their tickets now, just check your inbox for your access code.
