A report says West Virginia has jumped from the bottom to the middle of the pack in terms of how states run their elections.

Secretary of State Natalie Tennant last week announced the results from the Pew Charitable Trusts' 2014 Elections Performance Index.

The report based off 2014 election data says West Virginia jumped from 45th to 26th among the states.

The rating is based on a variety of factors, including data completeness, turnout, voting wait time, military and overseas ballots, absentee and provisional ballots, voter registration rates, and other factors.
