A West Virginia state senator has set up a hotline for reporting government fraud, waste or abuse.

Sen. Craig Blair of Berkeley County announced the Report It WV hotline on Wednesday.

Blair, the Republican Committee on Government Organization chairman, set up the hotline for the public to connect with Senate staff members.

The Senate staff can collect tips from callers and emails, investigate issues and decide where to refer for further action.

Tips can be given anonymously.  The Report It WV phone line is 304-357-7935, or tips can be sent by email to ReportItWV@wvlegislature.gov.
