Watch the 2016 Democratic Governor's Forum

John Hale
West Virginia Public Broadcasting

The forum is sponsored by the West Virginia Democratic Party and includes former U.S. Attorney R. Booth Goodwin, businessman and Greenbrier Resort owner Jim Justice and Senate Minority Leader Jeff Kessler.

The three candidates take questions from editors of three newspapers, selected to represent each Congressional District to include Matt Harvey of the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram, Rob Byers of the Charleston Gazette- Mail and Ben Fields of the Huntington Herald-Dispatch.

West Virginia Public Broadcasting's Ashton Marra serves as the host and moderator of the hour-long event.

Marra also leads a roundtable discussion with four additional editors following the forum featuring Ann Ali of the State Journal, Mike Myer of the Intelligencer, Wheeling News-Register, David Emke of the Martinsburg Journal and Damon Cain with Beckley's Register-Herald.

Following the panel, West Virginia Public Broadcasting brings you a one-on-one interview with the Republican gubernatorial candidate, Senate President Bill Cole, who discusses the same issues discussed by the Democratic candidates.

West Virginia Public Broadcasting carried the one-hour forum live on radio and the full two-hour program on television and online. The forum will rebroadcast on the West Virginia Channel Sunday, April 17 at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

West Virginia Public Broadcasting provided both television and radio feeds and online stream free of cost to media outlets across the state. For more information, including satellite coordinates, please contact Brittni McGuire with the West Virginia Democratic Party at 304-342-6606.
