The city of Morgantown will host a lumberjack competition this spring.

The Dominion Post reports more than 40 professional lumberjacks will participate in the Stihl Timbersports Pro Lumberjack Competition and Festival at the Hazel and J.W. Ruby Community Center on May 21-22. The newspaper reports it is the first time the competition has been held in Morgantown.

Organizer Labeth Hall said lumberjacks will compete in several areas including underhand chop, standing block chop and springboard chop.
