Marshall to Host Business Seminar for High School Students

Marshall University

Applications are being accepted from high school students for a three-week business seminar this summer at Marshall University.

The Governor’s School of Entrepreneurship will be held July 5 to 26 in Huntington. It is open to students in ninth through 11th grades.

The application deadline is March 30.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin’s office says in a news release that students’ applications could be bolstered if they’ve participated in experiences such as engineering, computer science, graphic and web design, architecture, agricultural education, robotics, biomedical and medical fields, or Future Farmers of America.

Students with a 3.0 grade-point average who complete required work at the session will have the chance to earn up to six hours of college credit at Marshall.
