Marshall Students to be Recognized for Street Banner Work

Huntington Street Banner
City of Huntington

Six Marshall University art students are being recognized for their design of street banners in downtown Huntington.

A ceremony for the students is set for Tuesday at the Marshall Visual Arts Center in Huntington.

The seasonal banners first went on display last summer.

The students being recognized are Alex Coster, Hannah Saxton, Kaitlin Blatt, Rebecca Keith, Kaitlyn Hartford and Brianna Jarvis.

Mayor Steve Williams says the banners have helped transform Huntington's downtown into a walking art gallery.
