Former Supreme Court Chief Funds Adjunct Faculty at WVU
Former West Virginia Supreme Court Chief Justice Larry V. Starcher has established a fund to support adjunct faculty salaries at the West Virginia University College of Law.
Starcher has been a lecturer at the law school since 2009, teaching trial advocacy and pre-trial litigation. He has served as an adjunct faculty member in the college's trial advocacy program since 1991.
He says the endowment acknowledges the life-changing opportunities he received at the WVU law school while also supporting the future of legal education in the state.
Starcher earned his bachelor's degree in 1964 and his law degree in 1967 from WVU. He was a Justice on the West Virginia Supreme Court from 1997-2008, serving as chief justice in 1999 and 2003.
