$71,000 Worth of Grants Awarded for Litter Control

More than two dozen entities have received litter control grants from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.

The DEP says it awarded matching grants totaling more than $71,000 to 28 solid waste authorities, county commissions and municipalities.

The grants included $3,000 awarded to the Town of Belle to help pay for a street sweeper and $3,000 awarded to the McDowell County Commission for razing structures.
