Johansen Appointed as New Wildlife Resources Chief

A longtime Division of Natural Resources wildlife biologist and manager has been named chief of the agency’s Wildlife Resources Section.

Paul R. Johansen has served as acting chief of the office since March. He replaces Curtis Taylor, who retired.

Natural Resources director Bob Fala announced Johansen’s appointment on Thursday in a news release.

Johansen has served at the DNR for more than 33 years. His previous positions included assistant chief in charge of game management, wildlife manager at R.D. Bailey Lake Wildlife Management Area in Wyoming County, and assistant district biologist in Fairmont.
