Ex-West Liberty President to Earn Same Pay

Former West Liberty University President Robin Capehart will earn the same salary in his new role as a legislative liaison and consultant.

Capehart resigned last week following an ethics complaint and a vote of no confidence by the faculty senate. He will remain with the university through 2015.

The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register obtained a copy of Capehart's new contract through the Freedom of Information Act. The newspaper says Capehart will be paid the same $200,000 annual salary he earned as president, along with a $1,000 per month vehicle reimbursement.

But Capehart won't receive any benefits, such as health coverage, under the new contract.

The newspaper says the university also agreed not to make any legal claims against him.
