The state Democratic Party is meeting this weekend to pick a new leader.

The meeting is set for Saturday in Flatwoods.

Larry Puccio resigned as chairman last month to run U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin’s political action committee.

The Charleston Daily Mail reports candidates to replace Puccio include Richard Lindsey, Nick Preservati, Belinda Biafore and Chris Regan.

Biafore and Regan have suggested they would to run the party as co-chairpersons.
