Business Expo Designed to Encourage Minoirities

The West Virginia Office of Minority Affairs is preparing for Wednesday Minority Business Expo in Charleston, a day long event meant to encourage and connect small business leaders.

“The expo is designed to bring together the people who can talk about the resources are available for minority businesses or entrepreneurs that are looking to start a business or grow an existing business,” said Dr. Carolyn Stuart, executive director of the office.

Stuart says the expo will include speakers and panel discussions as well as networking opportunities. She stressed the expo is not just for minorities in terms of race, but also gender and encouraged women to attend.

The expo will be held from noon-6:30 p.m. at the Beni Kedem in Charleston. Those wishing to attend should call 304-558-3179.
