An early 20th century pedestrian bridge in Tunnelton is coming down.
The bridge spanning CSX tracks is scheduled to be demolished on Tuesday. CSX says the bridge was built in 1912 in the Preston County town.

Tom Mercer with Orders Construction tells The Dominion Post that a crew will remove the top part of the bridge after Mon Power cuts power to lines stretching along the span. Then the bridge’s steps and concrete piers will be demolished.

Eighty-two-year-old Virgie McGill tells the newspaper that she will miss the bridge. She says it’s a big part of Tunnelton.
