An inmate at Hazelton Federal Correctional Institute has been convicted of assaulting a correctional officer.

Edward C. Crow was convicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg on three counts stemming from the attack.

The Exponent Telegram reports that Crow was found guilty of assaulting a correctional officer resulting in bodily injury, assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm and possession of a prohibited object.

A jury returned the guilty verdicts.

The convictions stem from injuring a guard on separate occasions.
